What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual Enrollment (DE) Program: 

The Dual Enrollment Program allows eligible secondary students earn college credits that count towards high school diploma requirements and an associate or baccalaureate degree.  

Early Admissions (EA) Program: 

Early Admissions is a form of dual enrollment that allows eligible students to accelerate their college degree and earn high school and college credit simultaneously. 

Requirements: 

  • Dual enroll for a minimum of one (1) semester 
  • Have an unweighted 3.0 high school GPA and 3.0 LSSC GPA
  • Take 12-18 credit hours each fall and spring semester
  • Lake County public school student must be a classified Senior
  • Student are not permitted to take classes at their high school or through FLVS when enrolled in the EA Program
Process:
  • Obtain Early Admissions approval/ application and GPA verification from school counselor 
  • Submit paperwork prior to admissions application deadline (See Home tab for dates)
