Want to be part of a leading energy innovation?

The Women’s Solar Power Summer Camp offers young women in school (grades 8th through 12th) the opportunity to explore the innovative engineering technology field of solar energy.

This is a free STEM-themed program, so all young women interested in STEM are encouraged to attend.

This four-day program includes a variety of activities to engage the minds of the next generation of engineers. Camp-goers will go on a field trip to Duke Energy’s solar array at Walt Disney World and will later work on building a solar-powered car model. Brenda Skoczelas (LSSC Physics Professor), Dr. Marilyn Barger (Executive Director of FLATE), Gabe Gabrielle (NASA Engineer), and Dr. Gabrielle K. Gabrielli (Mentor) are guest speaking.
Lunch will be provided every day. Bus transportation to and from South Sumter High School and Wildwood Middle High School is included.
