Welcome to my home page! My name is Nicole Nesberg and I am an adjunct faculty member at Lake-Sumter State College (since 2012). Please freel to email me at NesbergN@lssc.edu.
I love history and have taught AMH2010, AMH2020, AMH 2035, and EUH1000 at LSSC.
Elsewhere, I am employed as
an adjunct professor of history at Santa Fe College, SUNY (State University of New York), and with American Public University
Systems / American Military University in Washington, D.C. I have also served at some point as an
adjunct professor at Bethune-Cookman (Daytona, FL), Concordia University
(Ann Arbor, MI), and Washtenaw Community College (Ypsilanti, MI).
Over my decade+ of instruction I have taught American History I and II, 1945-present, African American History, American
Indian History, Western Civilization I
and II, and 20th Century Russia.
I received a BA in history from the University of Michigan, 1995; an MS
in international affairs from Florida State University, 1997; and, an MA
in history from Eastern Michigan University, 2005. I am ABD at the
University of Florida with specializations in Native American women,
gender and urbanization in the 20th century.
On a personal note, I have two sons, a 5 year old and 3.75 year old. They keep me busy but I also enjoy trivia, Jeopardy!, cooking, working out (Zumba mostly - I'm becoming a certified instructor in February), FOOTBALL (rabid fan both college and pro) and living in Florida.
