Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree

Lake-Sumter State College is pleased to announce that the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree has received approval from the State Board of Education on July 17, 2017. Students can start enrolling in the BSN beginning for Fall 2018.

What is the BSN?

The BSN is an advanced credential for nurses seeking to advance their career in today's healthcare systems. Lake-Sumter State College's BSN program is designed for associate degree in nursing (ADN) students or RNs who have passed or are eligible for the NCLEX licensure exam.

"A BSN prepared nurse's knowledge of
evidence-based practice, research, management of care across the continuum, along with healthcare finance and quality is essential in today's complex medical environment."
