Fall 2017 Financial Aid & Fee Payment Updates

Student Refunds

We now offer the opportunity to set up your refund for out of pocket payments or financial aid credit as a direct deposit to the checking or savings account of your own. This is a one-time, one-step set up process.

To sign up for direct deposit, log into your LOIS account. Scroll to TouchNet Student Account Suite and click. This will direct you to the TouchNet website. It will not be necessary to sign in again as it will automatically sign you in based on your LOIS information.

On the menu across the top of this page, you will click on Refunds and it will walk you through the process of setting up for a direct deposit to your checking or savings account.

Be sure to also set up for text messaging so that you will be notified when your refund has been processed.

Refunds for credit/debit card payments on Touchnet

If you made a payment via debit/credit card through TouchNet and you are due a refund for any fees paid out of pocket, the refund will be made to the debit/credit used for payment first.

Any other refunds, including financial aid balances, will be processed as a direct deposit, if set up, or mailed as a paper check to the address on file in LOIS.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email businessservices@lssc.edu. Be sure to include your name and XID.

Financial Aid

For students who have been enrolled for previous semesters, the process where your financial aid posts to your account has changed beginning Fall 2017. Your financial aid award amount is included in a detailed award letter that is emailed to you by the financial aid office.

However, your financial aid will not post to your student account in LOIS until AFTER you have registered for classes for that semester.

For additional information about Financial Aid, please visit LSSC.edu/finaid.

Fee Payment Deadlines

There are 4 fee payment deadlines for Fall 2017. A fee drop occurs after each deadline.

  • Monday 8/14 at 4:00 pm
  • Thursday 8/17 at 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday 8/23 at 4:00 pm
  • Sunday 8/27 at 11:59 pm

How does the drop work?

You will be dropped from your courses if you have an outstanding balance (including tuition & fees) on your student account at each of these times.  Students with financial aid should confirm with the Financial Aid Office that they will not be dropped while their aid is processed.

If you have an unpaid balance on your student account at the time of the drop, you will be dropped from all of your classes. This means that if you add a class between drops, you should pay for that class immediately. The balance for that class would make you eligible for the next drop.

Please visit the Bursar's website for additional information on fee payment processes.
