Lake-Sumter State College has a partnership with Akademos to bring the TextbookX platform to LSSC’s students. This new online bookstore platform is the official way to order course materials for your classes and offers campus pick-up, shipping to your home, and email delivery of electronic items.
Through the TextbookX platform, you have access to new and used textbooks, digital textbooks, access codes, and other course materials. This streamlined digital platform offers these materials at a cost-savings from a traditional bookstore.

Dual Enrollment Textbooks
Textbook approval process
Once your Dual Enrollment classes have been approved by your High School Counselor and the LSSC staff you will receive an email of approval. The next step is to get your textbooks.
Changes to your schedule
If you decide to make a change to your schedule, you are required to do so via your myLSSC account and repeat the process by visiting your HS counselor and getting your courses approved electronically by the posted deadline. Once your new class is approved by your HS counselor and LSSC, you will receive a new email notifying you that the class has been approved, allowing you to get your textbooks.

Home Education and PEP
Home Education students should have received an email (sent to the student’s @student.lssc.edu acount) from the Bookstore (TextbookX) with your voucher code and instructions for getting your books online. You should not have to pay for your books. Please contact the Dual Enrollment office if you have not received this email.
Private School
