At the end of each year, data from the project will be reported.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"faq-item\">\n    <button class=\"question\">Who will be involved in the project and how will they contribute to the project's goals?<\/button>\n    <div class=\"answer\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-hidden=\"true\" aria-live=\"assertive\">\n        <!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>QEP steering committee have been planning the details of the project in conjunction with faculty and staff from across Lake-Sumter. Students will also be involved in the project, either by becoming a QEP Student Ambassador or by your professor piloting the LI Model in their classroom.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"faq-item\">\n    <button class=\"question\">How will the QEP improve information literacy among students? What programs will be implemented?<\/button>\n    <div class=\"answer\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-hidden=\"true\" aria-live=\"assertive\">\n        <!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>We will be implementing the Librarian Intervention Model (LIM), which has been used in ENC 1101 classes. Librarians were embedded in the course to directly assist students with research help, citations, information literacy concepts, and technology concerns. This collaboration benefits students by providing a better understanding of information literacy standards that helps the student to write better research papers. Based on these early successes, the LIM model will be modified and expanded to other disciplines at the College.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"faq-item\">\n    <button class=\"question\">What is the tutorial and quiz in the Librarian Intervention levels? Is this available during the library session?<\/button>\n    <div class=\"answer\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-hidden=\"true\" aria-live=\"assertive\">\n        <!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>This is supplemental material for students to complete in\u00a0levels 2, 3 and 4 of librarian intervention.\u00a0It's similar to a library introduction session which will help students improve their research and writing skills. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.lssc.edu\/info_lit_tutorial\/intro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">information literacy tutorial<\/a>\u00a0includes a\u00a019-question quiz.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"faq-item\">\n    <button class=\"question\">In level 3 it states, \u201cLibrarian is directly integrated into syllabus and course and has input into IL instruction, but not graded assignment\u201d. Does this mean that there is not an assignment to accompany the intervention?<\/button>\n    <div class=\"answer\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-hidden=\"true\" aria-live=\"assertive\">\n        <!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>There should be an assignment to accompany any level selected. Level 3 will also include level 1 &amp; 2,so Librarian and ILA will provide input to the information literacy (IL) assignment.\u00a0However, librarians and ILAs won't offer input on other graded assignment(s) throughout the course.\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"faq-item\">\n    <button class=\"question\">Why is information literacy so important?<\/button>\n    <div class=\"answer\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-hidden=\"true\" aria-live=\"assertive\">\n        <!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>It is important to learn information literacy skills to help navigate through information overload, which we experience every day.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>According to the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), \u201cinformation literacy is the set of integrated abilities encompassing the reflective discovery of information, the understanding of how information is produced and valued, and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"faq-item\">\n    <button class=\"question\">How can I get involved?<\/button>\n    <div class=\"answer\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-hidden=\"true\" aria-live=\"assertive\">\n        <!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>If you are currently an LSSC student, you can apply to become a Student Ambassador. \u00a0You will assist in hosting Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) initiatives &amp;
